About the HIV Database
The SBC for HIV Evidence database is a compendium of evidence that demonstrates the impact of SBC on HIV-related outcomes including: HIV testing and counseling (HTC), voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC), prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), the treatment continuum, condom use, and other prevention areas.
Articles were included if the study’s results showed the effects of one or more communication interventions on an HIV-related outcome. Searches were conducted using SCOPUS, PubMed, PsychINFO, EBSCOhost and Popline for studies published between 1999 and 2016. The database is in the process of being updated with more recent literature.
The database of over 110 articles can be automatically filtered by checking boxes in the following categories: country, intervention approach, HIV area, and study design. Unchecking the boxes or clicking the “clear filters” button will return the database to its original state. The database can also be filtered by searching keywords in the “search” box above the database. Database results can be printed, copied or converted into Excel/CSV files by clicking the appropriate buttons below.
